To retire a mold is always sad, even if it’s done with good reasons. Last year we retired GRYM, GRYM X and the Kaxe Z and celebrated it with a shimmering deep green last run. We want to continue that path and pay tribute to the discs that have written their final chapter.
A last run version of the beloved KAXE (original) will be released in June 20 (Europe only), and as an astral coincidence it also marks the 10th anniversary of the mold. The last run batch is produced in a limited number, for obvious reasons.
Appreciated for its predictable flight, the Kaxe will come in handy in numerous situations on the course. Due to its slim proportions and decent stability, Kaxe handles wind well without being very overstable. Kaxe is an old Swedish word for a self-confident person.
Kastaplast is an independent disc manufacturer based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Our brand is dedicated to the disc golf culture, the people, the lifestyle and all the fun times all around the disc golf world. We look at disc golf as a grassroot movement with its own unique identity; characterized by spontaneity, individuality and freedom.
Starting off in 2011 as a small prototyping workshop, driven by the fun factor of experimenting, the business soon grew out of the basement as Jonas Lindberg was joined by Anders Källström and Per Jonson. Still, the “workshop style” of developing discs has stayed, with a mix of computer flight simulation, research and extensive prototyping.
Kastaplast is determined to keep the ecological footprint as low as possible. One step in this direction is the use of solar energy that today empowers a major part of our production. Recycling is another. Moving in the direction of sustainability is important to us and it is an ongoing process.
